UAS Advisor on Forced Labor

Resham Sethi is a social policy researcher and sociologist in the field of human trafficking, forced, and child labor. She is on a mission in the last eight years to prevent and eliminate these crimes and human rights violations from the global supply chains through trauma-informed evidence-based research, policy, education, culture, and self-love. Resham has extensive global experience of working directly with victim-survivors of these crimes in South Asia and the United States.

Resham’s work focuses to understand how unequal socio-economic status, ethnicity, race, class, immigration status, and gender play a key role in victimizing people into human trafficking and forced labor.

Inter-dependently, she also focuses on evaluating practices and policies within organizations and formulate trauma-informed social policy to prevent the re-traumatization of the survivors and recover them through a strengths-based approach.

Resham completed her Master’s in Sustainable International Development with a research focus on human trafficking and forced labor from Brandeis University, The Heller School for Social Policy and Management in Massachusetts. Before this, she had pursued a Master’s in Social Work in India. Resham has also completed her post-graduation diploma in Corporate Social Responsibility and is an advocate to prevent and address these crimes and worker exploitation in the global supply chains through corporate governance and social initiatives.
