CDAD Teams
Collaboration. Development. Analysis. Dissemination.
This website is designed for our CDAD teams to access and contribute their expertise towards a current National Outreach Survey. This website is for informational purposes and no data collected through any NOS study is stored nor accessible through this website.
COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH MODEL
United Against Slavery (UAS) spent six years developing a Collaborative Research Model and a comprehensive frontline data collection methodology and repository to collect, maintain, and publish human trafficking data. Every research project at UAS is built in a Collaborative Research Model, inclusive of a senior research team, one or more Working Groups, and Oversight Agencies (OA's). Some projects may comprise more than 3 groups under this model, including our Survivor Leader Advisory Council.
To date, UAS has launched multiple Pilot Studies in 2016 and 2018. In early 2020, we launched the National Outreach Survey for Flight Attendants. The Association of Professional Flight Attendants and the Association of Flight Attendants, two of the largest Unions for Flight Attendants, became a UAS Oversight Agency (OA) and distributed a custom survey link to their members. During 2020, United Against Slavery became the first-ever recipient of the USDOT Combating Human Trafficking in Transportation Impact Award. Under the terms of this award, UAS will launch the 2021 National Outreach Survey for Transportation to identify what is and isn't working on the frontlines of industry. Our Collaborative Research Model for this study includes 5 groups: 1) Senior Research Team, 2) Survivor Leader Advisory Council, 3) Transportation Institutes/Centers and Universities, 4) Oversight Agencies, and 5) Working Groups.
WHAT ARE CDAD TEAMS?
CDAD
Collaboration: Professionals across different anti-trafficking sectors and industry that contribute to a NOS study
Development: Assist with the survey design and custom survey questions, to develop the final survey instrument
Analysis: Review the NOS data and offer analysis within their field of expertise and author a segment of the final NOS report
Dissemination: Release a final report with an overview of the NOS data collected and make the data available in an open-source platform to the public-at-large
Under our Collaborative Research Model, every National Outreach Survey will have a CDAD Team that contributes to the survey design, to the data analytics, and authors a segment of the final report.
